BBNaija S8: The Stars Come out Tonight
The guessing game which has enveloped Big Brother Naija fans since the announcement of the eighth season will come to an end tonight when the popular reality TV show returns on screens.
For days, fans have been caught up in a whirlwind of excitement and speculation about the stars set to grace this year’s edition. Will it be past winners, celebrities, or even some of the previously disqualified housemates making a grand return?
“Some of the strong characters you know will be on the show,” was the only clue the Executive Head, Content and West Africa Channels, at MultiChoice Nigeria, Busola Tejumola offered.
This left fans eagerly guessing and throwing up a lot of names like Tacha, Mercy Eke, and Khloe, among others.
The eighth season is a departure from the usual format of the show since its revival in 2017. Previous seasons have young hopefuls audition to be part of the show. With the All Stars theme, aspiring contestants will have to wait till next year for their shot at fame.
Given this year’s peculiarity, the odds of having housemates added either as fakes or riders are uncertain but with Biggie at the helm, anything is possible. There are hints that this season’s twists would offer the high-octane drama that is associated with the show.
Despite some criticism of predictability, the organisers of Big Brother Naija consistently concoct fresh and captivating elements to keep the show abuzz. Whether these twists are simply delightful add-ons or profound game-changers, one thing is certain: the show continues to capture the hearts of viewers, even transcending borders, especially with Showmax streaming the season and offering additional highlights.
The winner of the Big Brother Naija show also goes home with a staggering N120 million cash reward, a first-of-its-kind bounty.
