BB-Harris Releases Debut Album ‘JEJE’
Chimaobi Ubbaonu, known in the industry as BB-Harris is set to launch a new album tagged ‘JEJE’.
JEJE which is set to drop Tuesday, July 25, is one of many musical experiences curated by BB-Harris and with his eclectic composition and clever performance on each record – fans can only enjoy the cadences, savour the moments and ask for more as another music legend has emerged.
Often referred to as a complete artiste, the music of BB-Harris paints a picture of a near-perfect world with easygoing people and” JEJE” ( loosely translated to mean Easy) is a clear testament to the fact that his career is shaping up to nothing short of phenomenal.
In a statement he made available to newsmen in Abuja, he stated that the brilliant penmanship, unique delivery and afro-blend distinguish him and set him apart not just as a fast-rising singer and songwriter but an impresario taking the music world by storm.
He is also a guitarist who has transcended genre boundaries to create a signature sound that resonates with music listeners and industry tastemakers, therefore, cementing the place of his music as a “Universal Language” and intercontinental brand.
There is no doubt that his style of music created with a feel-good vibe, voiced with charisma/ confidence, blended with compelling production and aimed at good-natured entertainment will assuage the thirst for sensational music.
The Nigerian-born star who is based in the United Kingdom and was born in September 1991 is yet once again, adding his superlative voice to the afrobeat frenzy currently rocking the universe. BB-Harris has proved his mettle as a listener’s delight and fan favourite by elevating the afrobeat genre with his distinctive afro-fusion style and his evocative lyrical prowess.
Having been in the catholic choir as early as eight years, listening to classics from iconic singers like Luther Vandross, Handles, Micheal Jackson, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Oliver De Coque, Osadebe, Whitney Houston, Dolly Parton, Tuface Idibia, Bob Marley and a host of others from his father’s vinyl player- little wonder his fusion of afro- highlife, Rhythm n’ blues and Country music reflects heavy music influences from his formative years.
Coming through with a sound that is described as a thorough and artistic blend of the Western music that held sway in Africa in the early 80s and the resurgent afrobeat sound, BB-Harris who holds a first degree/MSc in Law had long chosen music as his first love and he is musically gifted in all respect.
From recording in studios in Owerri (southeastern Nigeria) to making music in London – BB-Harris has always deployed his music to teach preach tolerance, patience, love and diligence as a social activist, mental health crusader and philanthropist.
Undoubtedly, BB-Harris was born for the spotlight as he lyrically vacillates between his native igbo language, Nigerian “Pidgin” lingua and English Language with a sonorous voice that reminds his listeners of something never heard of in his masterful records.
