Founder of Accra Institute of Technology (AIT), Ghana, Prof. Clement Dzidonu, has applauded Nigerian students who go into foreign institutions for their enterprising skills, saying that despite the challenges in the job market, they excel in businesses.

Dzidonu, who made this known recently in his presentation to journalists in Lagos, said the institute was making moves towards making it entrepreneurial so that the students can be equipped with thinking skills to create jobs.

He said the institute also created a business development and incubation centre to enable students to set up their businesses, offering multiple degree opportunities to do a campus programme on one course and an open university programme in another.

Its open university system, the don explained that it offers workers the opportunity to pursue further education and acquire degrees without leaving their work or getting a study leave.

Dzidonu stated that the institute had to ban the sale of handouts and ensured that materials were provided through its Learning Management System (LMS), past questions and e-notes, among others.

The founder, who disclosed that the institute has a good relationship with Nigeria High Commission, noted that it has an international student support unit which provides a resident permit for students, protect their interest and find job attachment and opportunities for them.
