The Senator representing Kaduna South senatorial district, Sunday Katung, yesterday said he would partner the federal and Kaduna State Governments to address the developmental challenges facing the area.
Katung stated this in an interview with journalists in Zonkwa, headquarters of Zango Kataf Local Government Area of the state, during a ‘Thank you tour’ of the eight local government areas in the senatorial district.
He lamented the neglect the Southern Kaduna people had suffered over the years, saying he will work with the federal and state governments to put smiles on the faces of the people of the area.
The lawmaker assured the people that he would protect and defend the interest of Southern Kaduna even as he lobbies to attract developmental projects to the area.
Katung said elections were over, and urged the people to unite and work together for the progress of the area, stressing that he is a senator for all regardless of political differences.
According to him, “I am prepared to work with whoever is the president and the governor of our state to address the developmental challenges in our senatorial district. I will ensure our people smile again.
“Elections are over, and I am a senator now for all irrespective of those that voted for me or not. I will partner the federal and state governments to bring dividends of democracy to our senatorial district.
“I shall work with all the national and state assemblies to speak for our people, attract development projects and secure our communities from criminals.
“I pledged to protect and defend your interest, even as I lobby for developmental projects for the zone.”
