NDE Pledges Skill Devt, Empowerment Programmes in Osun

The Director General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Mr. Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, yesterday assured the people of Boluwaduro/Ifedayo/Ila Federal Constituency of proper and adequate development of entrepreneurial skills for socioeconomic development of the area.
Fikpo made the pledge when the member of House of Representatives representing Boluwaduro/Ifedayo/Ila Federal Constituency, Hon. Clement Ademola Akanni, held a meeting with him in his office in an efforts to foster sustainable development and progress in the constituency.
Fikpo lauded Akanni’s proactive approach and assured him of the NDE’s full support in advancing the constituency’s development agenda.
He stated that the NDE is committed to implementing programs that foster would entrepreneurship, skill acquisition, and job placements, which aligned with the federal government’s commitment to national economic growth.
The two leaders also discussed vital strategies and collaborative efforts to propel the constituency forward and enhance the overall well-being of its residents.
During the meeting, Akanni expressed his unwavering commitment to the people of the constituency and highlighted his vision for a more prosperous and inclusive society.
He emphasised the importance of job creation, skill development, and empowerment programs to uplift the socioeconomic status of the constituency’s populace.
He, however, stressed the urgency of tackling unemployment and underemployment challenges in the area, especially among the youth.
Akanni and Fikpo agreed that continuous collaboration and effective monitoring of progress would be crucial to the success of these initiatives.
They equally expressed their optimism about the future of the Boluwaduro/Ifedayo/Ila Federal Constituency.
It was also observed that the partnership between the office of the House of Representatives’ member and the NDE is set to unlock opportunities, alleviate poverty, and ultimately elevate the quality of life for the people in the constituency.
