Makinde Swears in New SSG, HoS, 16 Commissioners

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, yesterday, sworn in newly confirmed 16 commissioners and the new Secretary to the Government of the State (SSG), Prof. Kudirat Adeyemo.
The governor also swore in the acting Head of Service(HoS), Mrs. Olubunmi Oni, into substantive position as HoS Oyo state.
Similarly, Governor Makinde swore in 13 newly promoted Permanent Secretaries of Ministries in the state’s civil service as well as the newly appointed Accountant General of Oyo State; Mrs. Kikelomo Adegoke.
Makinde, after administering the oath of office and allegiance to the new appointees Ibadan, expressed confidence in their selection and capacity to bring their wealth of professional experiences to bear on governance.
The governor, while disclosing that it was the first time that the state recorded a cabinet well represented from all the 14 federal constituencies in the state, also tasked the new cabinet members to see their appointments as a call to service, urging them to shun personal interests for the common good of the state.
He assured the new cabinet members that he would continue to provide a platform that would engender personal growth while pursuing the overall development of the state.
The commissioners included Mr. Akinola Ojo, Finance; Prof. Tunji Babatunde, Budget and Economic Planning; Barrister Seun Ashamu, Energy and Mineral Resources; Mr. Biodun Aikomo, Justice; Mrs. Toyin Balogun, Women Affairs and Social Inclusion; Mr. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, Environment; Mr. Williams Akin-Funmilayo, Lands, Housing and Urban Development and Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun, Culture and Tourism.
Others are: Prince Dotun Oyelade, Information; Mr. Segun Olayiwola, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Alhaja Fausat Joke Sanni, Special Duties; Prof. Daud Kehinde Sangodoyin, Public Works and Transport; Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye, Agriculture and Rural Development; Mr. Ademola Ojo, Trade, Investment, Industry and Cooperatives; Prof. Abdulwaheed Soliu, Education, Science and Technology and Mr. Adeniyi Adebisi, Establishment and Training.
