Senator Opeyemi Bamidele Celebrates 60th Birthday with Book Launch

Like the river that does not allow anybody to touch it in the same place twice, time is elusive. But people like Senator Opeyemi Bamidele understand that certain things can help capture the marks of time and the wisdom obtainable from these marks. This explains why the well-regarded Senate Majority Leader celebrated his birthday recently and launched a book on leadership and communication to commemorate it.

Bamidele’s book, ‘Leadership Through Communication,’ is the latest ‘instruction manual’ for young and aspiring politicians. Bamidele’s gesture of condensing all he knows about leadership and the value of communication has won him even more respect.

The most prestigious individuals took time out of their busy schedules to attend Bamidele’s book launch and wish him a happy birthday. These included President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and many other distinguished members of the Senate.

Akpabio was especially moved to see Bamidele’s book. According to him, the Ekiti State lawmaker is a reliable man. Following all he has accomplished in the past, any other person would have stopped being loyal to those that set him on the path to glory. Not Bamidele. Even today, said Akpabio, he is still loyal to Tinubu and the president’s ‘school’ of political thought and action.

Without a doubt, Bamidele remains one of the most brilliant individuals in the 10th National Assembly. Now at 60, the man has much to offer. With his book, his influence is likely to spread to new groups, stirring a passion for formal and informal leadership among the young.
