Nigerians thronged Silverbird Cinemas in their numbers to catch a glimpse of the Movie, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1, regarded as the best action-packed movie ever.

Silverbird Film Distribution (SFD) in conjunction with TECNO, FEARLESS ENERGY DRINK, GUINNESS, Kinglace, and others debut the intriguing blockbuster series recently in Lagos.

The leading cinema group acquired the exclusive rights to premiere the movie with a cocktail preceding the movie screening.

At the premiere of the movie, people were simply overwhelmed by Tom Cruise’s tireless multitasking capabilities with Rebecca Ferguson’s juicy spectacular splashy skills which won lots of applause throughout the movie.

In the movie, whose director is Christopher Macquarrie, Ethan is found once again going rogue to stop another rising threat. This time, he’s up against The Entity, a malignant artificial intelligence that can rewrite the truth as we know it. Multiple world powers are seeking to control this AI, including Ethan’s employers, the Impossible Mission Force. What few realize is that they are being controlled by the Entity.

Ethan is wise enough to know something like this can’t be subdued, only destroys. He sets off with his team to recover the two-part key that controls the Entity, but they’re not the only ones in pursuit of it.

Moreso, Ethan’s old ally, Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson) has retrieved one-half of the key for MI6. And after a dizzying game of cat and mouse in Abu Dhabi, career burglar Grace (Hayley Atwell) finds herself in possession of the other. Both eventually join forces with Ethan to unite the two halves of this key, but they still have to contend with Gabriel (Esai Morales), the Entity’s liaison in the real world.

Furthermore, by the end of the movie, Gabriel is one of two people that know exactly what the key unlocks: an early version of the Entity that dwells in a scuttled Russian submarine, Sevastopol. Ethan is the second, and fortunately, he’s also the one with the completed key. His victory comes at great personal cost though, with key allies either killed or captured, and the others scattered to the winds. Ilsa is killed in a duel with Gabriel, and Luther (Ving Rhames) heads underground to crack the Entity’s code. That leaves Ethan and Benji (Simon Pegg) to locate Sevastopol, while Grace pledges her allegiance to the IMF.

Nigerian comedian cum actor, motivational speaker, and businessman, Ali Baba, said the movie explained the theme of corruption and betrayal in the military.
“I have watched all the various episodes of Mission Impossible and the series that struck me most is Episode 3 because it talks about betrayal. Most times, his movies are about the system, international espionage, betrayal, and the do-it-all. For me, I watch movies in three ways, the first is for entertainment, the technicalities used in the movie, and for information”, he noted.

Ali Baba who stressed that one of the things that the movies dealt with is international security, noted, “It talks about betrayal, purpose, and personality.

“In every episode of the movie, you see professionalism in Tom Cruise. He knows about the job and doesn’t mind putting his life on the line. One of my expectations is to see how politics has eaten deep in the military, betrayal is now even stronger because people are now desperate for money and they want to do everything possible to get that money. It shuttles for the promotion of the kind of ammunition used.”

Furthermore, Key Accounts Manager, at SilverBird Film Distribution Moses Agochukwu said, “Mission Impossible: The Dead Reckoning”, is a  celebration of our franchise. It is going to be amazing for people to see the movie.
