When Friends and Admirers Showered Encomiums on Greg Uanseru
“The first step to being a good man is that you must deeply feel the burden of the stones that someone else carries.’’
This beautiful quote aptly captures how Greg Uanseru, billionaire businessman and the President and CEO of GCA Energy Limited was described by many that attended his 65th birthday soiree last Tuesday at his GRA Ikeja, Lagos residence.
Leading the pack was the Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, who hailed his contribution to the growth and development of the country.
In a statement, the governor lauded Uanseru for his tenacity and entrepreneurial excellence, noting that his exploits, which have elevated the nation’s business landscape to enviable heights, are testaments to the indefatigable spirit of hard work and resilience common with Nigerians.
Obaseki said, “I heartily felicitate with the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GCA Energy Limited, Mr. Greg Uanseru, on his 65th birthday celebration.
A well-accomplished and remarkable Edo son, Uanseru has continued to lead an illustrious life, distinguishing himself as a business tycoon and philanthropist extraordinaire. A maestro, Uanseru has sailed untroubled in the entrepreneurial ocean, navigating numerous challenges with his expertise and panache, contributing effectively.”
Not one to be outdone, Senator Daisy Danjuma described the oil mogul as a philanthropist who never got tired of giving even when he is going through some financial challenges himself.
Several described the Edo State born as one of the biggest humanitarians they ever come across; someone who feels the pains of others more than the affected person.
“He takes up your issue more seriously that you begin to wonder what you have done to deserve such a good deed from him,’’ a guest at the birthday party said. These and more were showered on the man fondly called Uncle G or Daddy G by his admirers.
The birthday bash, which was attended by top and high net-worth personalities, was simple, classy and had exotic refreshments in abundance.
