BUA Cement Donates Drugs, Others Worth N115m to Sokoto Communities

Unrelenting in it corporate social responsibility, BUA Cement Company on Saturday donated drugs, exercise books and school uniforms worth one hundred, and fifteen million naira (N115,000,000) to 15 communities in its host local government area of Wamakko in Sokoto State.
The beneficiary communities includes; Bakin Kusu, Arkilla, Farfaru, Wamakko, Kalambaina , Sabon Gida Belu, Sabon Garin Alu, Gumbi, Wajeke, Gidan Boka, Kauran Mallam Buba, Asare, Mobile Police Barracks, Beni Town, Federal Low-cost.
Speaking before handing over the items to the host communities, the Managing Director of BUA Cement Company, Yusuf Binji, said the gesture is an annual event carry out as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.
Binji, who was represented by the company’s head of administration and corporate services, Sada Suleiman said the company has also donated cement to 68 communities to enable them carry out repairs on their communal facilities, and also to construct drainages in preparation for the rainy season.
Suleiman, said in addition to what the company handed over to the communities, it had also constructed roads, provided cemeteries, and supplied water and electricity to its host communities.
He further stated that 158 indigent students of Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara state have benefited from the company’s scholarship, stressing that the company has increased the amount of scholarship grant in view of economic realities.
He noted that BUA is poise in giving back to it host communities in order to add value to their livelihood.
