The North Central Political Frontiers (NCPF) has applauded the fuel subsidy removal and what it refers to as balance in power sharing of the President Bola Tinubu administration.

Addressing the meeting in Abuja to applaud the giant strides taken so far, Chairman of NCPF, Hon. Shuaibu Mohammed, said never in the history of the nation has a retired police officer been appointed as National Security Adviser, adding that this is what the nation needs at the moment.

On the current hardship been experienced by most families, the group pleaded with all Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora to exercise more patients with the president, noting that progress is continuous and gradual.

While also appreciating the president for the gesture in the appointment of one of the illustrious sons of the zone in the capacity of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the group said the president in his decision is on top of every situation.

“Subsidy is a bottleneck that had denied Nigeria the growth and competition she needs to have with sister nations. It has been invisible over the years. We don’t see but hear trillions of naira being paid. To who? How many presidents had the courage to stop it. But this is a democrat who understood what the yearnings of the people are.

“Progress is a continuous process and what we are saying now is that the starting as indicated proves that he is a round peg in a round hole. And that is why today, the leadership of the North Central Political Frontiers are gathered here to celebrate Mr. President.

“This is not sycophancy but a result of appreciation. For the first time, since the return of democracy, Nigeria is having a retired police officer as National Security Adviser. It has never been done in the history of this country. For the first time, we are having balance in power sharing. We need to see Nigeria as a collective project.

“We appeal to the Nigerian populace, both at home and in the Diaspora to exercise more patience with the President Bola Tinubu-led administration ranging from the economy, security and social transformation programmes.

“The government is steadily on top of the situation and most importantly see the Nigeria project as collective, going forward, in a short possible time the aforementioned shall be nipped in the board and propel much anticipated prosperity,” he added.
