Osun APC Rallies Support for Basiru as Party’s Nat’l Secretary

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has thrown its weight behind the choice of Senator Ajibola Basiru, as the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), ahead of his ratification by the party’s National Executive Council (NEC).

Chairman of the party in the state, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement by the Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo, the state capital, stated that the Osogbo-born Senator possessed all it would take to perform optimally as the  National Secretary of the party.

Lawal disclosed that a vote of confidence was unanimously passed by the state executive officers of the party at a meeting yesterday in the state party secretariat in Osogbo on the suitability of Senator Basiru for the office.

He explained that Basiru was one of the first timers in the Senate, who was saddled with the responsibility of a crucial function as the mouth-piece of the Senate, an assignment he was carried out satisfactorily, diligently and flawlessly.

The state APC chairman also stated that the experience gathered in both private and public offices at different times as a lawyer, commissioner, lecturer and Senator would  fortify him to excel as the APC national secretary.
