Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie may well remain in the news for a long to come as long as the controversy trailing his home and affair with Judy Austin, his alleged second wife and colleague continues to make the headlines. A couple of days back, his aunt Rita Edochie had called out Judy after several backlashes, asking her to release Yul from her grip.
Yul’s father, veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie who initially seems to be cool, and had maintained silence amid Yul’s polygamous marriage and drama, has now reacted.
This comes following a lawsuit from the actor’s first wife, which has since heightened their separation. May filed for divorce and also demanding N100 million as damages. She also filed a restraining order, barring Yul from accessing their matrimonial home.
Commenting on the marital crisis, Pete Edochie, during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, spoke in proverbs about the situation.
In the snippet Chude shared on social media, Pete Edochie said Yul is the architect of his current predicament. He said, “He who fetches ant-infested firewood, should be ready to host the lizards for a feast.” Although he had initially said Yul is old enough to take care of his problems: “He’s been living by himself for a long time and married for 17 years. It’s his business if he can cope with polygamy.”
Amid the silence of May on social media, Yul and Judy have continued to show off their lovey-dovey moments online. Despite reports of the lawsuit, Yul took to his Facebook page last Wednesday to share a happy video of him and Judy dancing to one of Flavor’s songs.
Despite portraying themselves as husband and wife on social media, Yul and Judy are not lawfully wedded. May and Yul lost their first son, Kambilichukwu, some months back.
