Singer, Kohdee Ready to Release First Single under new Label, Troniq Music

Ogechukwu Kohdee Otu, simply known as Kohdee started music official in 2017 as an independent artist who was basically surviving on his raw talent. But his career took flight recently when he inked a record deal with Troniq Music, which also has Oxlade on its bill.

The artist, who says he is heavily inspired by Burna Boy, Wande Coal and Drake amongst others is ready for the big times as he is ready to release his next single titled “Mr Fantastic ” under his new record label, Troniq Music.

According to the Porthacourt-born, Afrobeats and Afropop singer, unlike his independent days, the focus is re-energized under the support system of his label as he is set to serve undiluted good music to capture not just the hearts of his fans but to make a huge difference on the world’s music scene.

“My goal is for my music to make an impact in this world. I’m going to make timeless music that people will listen to for generations to come. With God’s help I plan to accomplish that and also by staying consistent and growing with my fans.

“As an independent artist I had the creative freedom to make music that i loved and now with Troniq Music I have both that and the right support to bring my visions and creativity to life. It is huge having a great team like Troniq behind you. It can only get better,” he says

Kohdee officially launched his music career in 2017 and has since carved a niche for himself as a creative force with enduring potential to be in the big league of superstars.

In 2020, he released his EP ‘The Link’, which featured seven tracks and a cameo appearance from 1da Banton. He also collaborated with the award-winning highlife band, The Cavemen, on his 2021 single “Mexebu”.

Kohdee’s musical influences include some of the biggest names in the industry, including Burna Boy, Wande Coal, Usher, Drake, Flavour and Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

Kohdee’s music is a reflection of his life experiences, featuring themes such as love, heartbreak and inspiration, as well as high-energy party songs.
