I’m Inspired By Burna Boy, Wizkid’s Sound- Yeri, Canadian based Nigerian Artiste

Yeri, a Canadian based Nigerian artiste has said that the sound of his music is inspired by artistes like Burna Boy, Illpriest, Jhus, Fela Kuti and Wizkid.

The unique “Afro-Chill” artist, who have been in limelight since six years ago stated this in a statement made available to newsmen.

” While i love to create catchy hooks based on my observations of the world and the environment around me, my sound is inspired by artistes like Burna Boy, Illpriest, Jhus, Fela Kuti and Wizkid ,” he said.

According to Yeri, he is currently working with a professional mentor and musician, Sarah Shafey and is part of a filming program with POV FILM Toronto to further hone his craft.

The artiste told his fans to stay tuned and expect the next project that he is currently working on soon.

Yeri said that while he has been writing, singing, and performing at events since he started his career, his unique “Afro-Chill” sound consists of a blend of music genres like Afro-Beats, Afro-Fusion, R & B and Alte music.

According to Yeri, in 2020, he released two EPs “1804” and “Welcome To The Jungle”, which can be found on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube and other digital streaming platforms.

He also collaborated with Singer Haze, Producer Yebo4life on Instagram: Yebo4life, Producer/Mixer Thizispeace, who has work with Midas The Jagaban, Producer Quincy, Producer/Mixer Savage beats on Instagram: Savagebeat100 and Producer/Dion Mills on Instagram: Dion Mills.

In 2021, Yeri attended the Sketch Program for youth, Unity Charity workshop and a Music Business Essentials course with Purna Music from Montreal.
