The Bridge Leadership Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to leadership and capacity development, held its 13th career day in Calabar, where it recognized AgroEknor for its remarkable contributions to the agricultural sector.
The event brought together entrepreneurs and professionals to inspire the foundation’s young participants.

At the heart of the event was the panel discussion themed “Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development: Youth, Innovation, and Enabling Environment,” where AgroEknor’s CEO, Timi Oke, took the stage to share valuable insights.
During his speech, Timi stressed the significance of building and nurturing relationships, emphasizing that every connection, moment, and event has the potential to open doors and unlock opportunities.

He urged the young entrepreneurs in the audience to cherish their relationships, no matter how big or small, as they may lead to significant breakthroughs.

While acknowledging the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in the agro-tech sector and beyond, Timi emphasized the importance of maintaining an optimistic outlook.
“You cannot thrive in an environment you are pessimistic about” the CEO said.

He highlighted that a pessimistic mindset can hinder growth and progress, whereas an optimistic attitude fuels the determination to overcome obstacles and thrive.

Drawing inspiration from global scenarios, he showcased Nigeria’s potential as a leading representative of Africa in the global economy.

With abundant natural resources, a skilled workforce, and a young population, the country has immense opportunities, especially within the agricultural sector.

Timi highlighted the enormous potential for agricultural exports, citing examples of other nations that have capitalized on similar resources to foster economic growth.

The CEO of AgroEknor also shared his personal experiences on the entrepreneurial journey, offering valuable insights into persevering through tough times and emerging stronger from challenges.

His anecdotes resonated strongly with the audience, after which he conducted a short and exciting Q&A session.
