Subsidy Removal: Nasarawa to Begin Distribution of Palliatives

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, over the weekend said palliatives to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal on residents of the state would be rolled out this week after the commissioner nominees are inaugurated.
This was even as Sule revealed further that the state was in receipt of the federal government’s palliatives and was set to distribute same in order to mitigate the impact of the fuel subsidy removal in the state.
The governor disclosed this when he paid a visit to the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, at his residence in Lafia, where the Speaker was recuperating from sickness.
The governor, however, informed the Speaker that upon his arrival from the United States, he was told that he was sick, hence the visit to wish him quick recovery.
While responding, Speaker Abdullahi appreciated Governor Sule for the visit to wish him quick recovery, just as he sued for the sustenance of the existing cordial relationship.
The Speaker, therefore, assured Sule of the Assembly’s continues support with legislations that would improve the business of governance for the growth and development of Nasarawa State.
