Kingsley Obiukwu Recommends Strategic Partnerships, Technology as Keys to Transforming Tourism

Nigerian businessman and hospitality expert, Kingsley Obiukwu, has said that strategic partnerships and technology are the keys to transforming the tourism industry.
He disclosed this during an investment summit; Develop Ondo 2.0 which was held recently in Akure, Ondo State while also calling on all stakeholders, including government bodies, private enterprises, local communities, and investors, to join hands in shaping a bright and prosperous future for the tourism sector.
The summit which was organised by the Ondo State government in partnership with the European Union and UNDP, aimed at exploring the tourism potentials in Ondo State.
Obiukwu noted that Public-Private Partnerships, adequate marketing and promotion and regulatory support will unlock the full potential of the tourism industry in Ondo State and the country as a whole.
“Enabling a conducive business environment through supportive policies and streamlined regulations will encourage investment in the tourism sector,” he added.
He also highlighted the importance of technology in shaping the future of the tourism industry.
According to him, “We need to embrace digital innovation and incorporate smart solutions in delivering tourism experience.
“Technology can help provide an enhanced visitor experience, improve efficiency, minimize environmental impact and create a sustainable and inclusive tourism ecosystem.
“All these can be possible with visionary leadership, strategic partnerships, and a commitment to responsible and sustainable practices. With these, we can unleash the full potential of this industry.”
