Sokoto Gov Swears- in New Commissioners

Sokoto State Governor, Dr Ahmed Aliyu, has inaugurated 25 commissioners as members of the State Executive Council, charging them to sustain efforts by the government to improve the livelihood of the people and ensure economic prosperity of the state.
The Commissioners include , Bello Moh’d Wamakko, Agriculture; Muhammad Tukur Alkali, Basic and Secondary Education; Balarabe Musa Kadadi, Budget and Economic Planning; Muhammad Jabbi Shagari, Finance; Hajia Asabe Balarabe, Health; Ibrahim Dadi Adare , Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Aminu Abdullahi , Higher Education; Sambo Bello Danchadi , information; Barr, Nasiru Mohammed Binji , Justice.
Others are Barr. Nasiru Aliyu Dan Tsoho , Land and Housing; Bala Kokani , Science and Technology; Jamiliu Umar Gosta, Youth and Sports Development; Yusuf Mohammed Macciddo , water Resources; Hadiza Shagari , Women and Children Affairs; Dr Jabir Sani Mai Hulla , Religious Affairs; Haruna Abbas Bashar , Commerce, Trade and Investment; Ya’u Mohammed Danda, Social and Humanitarian Affairs; Sanusi Ibrahim Umar , Energy and Petroleum Resources; Bashar Umar Kwabo , Innovation and Digital Economy; Aliyu Abubakar Tureta, Animal Health, and Fishery Development; Shehu A Chacho , Special Duties; Sharehu A Kamarawa , Home Affairs; Isa Mohammed Tambagarka, Solid minerals Development; Aminu Bodai , Culture and Tourism; and Nura Shehu Tangaza , Environment.
The governor, during the inauguration at the International Conference Centre Kasarawa, Sokoto assured of the development of all sectors to boost the state economy.
He said, “We have had an excellent team, these would help us to actualise our vision of transforming the State to where it should be. Any transformation is a work in progress and doesn’t end.”
The governor continued: “We are inaugurating today what we call the credible team which is made up of men and women of high standing in their careers and communities as they take over the battle, ensuring the provision of dividends of democracy to the citizenry.”
He reminded them on his administration’s thrust of nine-point agenda, stressing they should strive to meet the yearning and aspirations of the people.
