The Chairman of the Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation (SEOF), Mr. Emeka Okwuosa, has said that hard work and diligence as crucial to societal development.

Okwuosa made this statement at the dedication of the Christ Church, Irefi, Oraifite and memorial/thanksgiving of late Pa Godfrey Egbuniwe and late Dame Irene Nneka Mmachukwu at Irefi-Oraifite, Ekwusigo LGA, Anambra State.

Okwuosa, whose foundation built the church, emphasised the need for Nigerians to dedicate their lives to God despite the nation’s challenges.

He added: “Let us do whatever we do to the glory of God and humanity. As we lend ourselves to God, He will use us to bless people around us. “For me, the goal is to serve God and humanity, which entails giving the best to God because He deserves it.”

Okwuosa, who is also the group CEO of Oliserv Group of Companies, said that it was high time Nigerians left all negativity and returned to God for a better society.

He expressed joy that the project was realised in record time, adding, “Whatever we are doing as a family today is a testament to our background.

“We cannot do less in honouring God because He has been faithful to us as a family.”

Okwuosa hinted that his foundation will soon begin constructing a skill acquisition training centre opposite the church.

He explained that the project was to equip Oraifite people with vocational skills.

He said: “The planned skill acquisition training centre is to reciprocate the gesture by the Irefi families who donated the land where this church is built free.”

Okwuosa used the medium to admonish Nigerian youths, especially those from the South-east geo-political zone, who are turning to fetish activities to make money.

On his part, the Primate of Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, implored Nigerians to embrace the principles of being relevant to God for His blessings.

Ndukuba, who is equally the Archbishop, Metropolitan, Abuja, insisted that regardless of the size of one’s efforts, let it be to the glory of God.

He said: “Let us do whatever we are doing to the glory of God and humanity. As we lend ourselves to God, He will use us to bless people around us.

“As God has used the Okwuosa family to bless the church, we are also trusting God that through our prayers and study of the word of God, Nigeria will be blessed.”
