Indonesian Envoy Charges FG to Address Insecurity for Increased FDIs

The Indonesia Ambassador to Nigeria, Usra Harahap, has charged the present administration to as a matter of urgency address the high level of insecurity in the country to attract increased Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs).
Indeed, the call is coming at a time when the nation is in dire straits to generate the much needed foreign exchange to build and develop capital projects across the country.
He said despite the insecurity challenge, Nigeria still remains a destination for investment for many developed economies across the world.
“There is no country in the world without its own challenge, but we are confident that Nigeria is still a destination for profitable investments for many countries in the world,” he affirmed.
At a press conference to announce the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2023 scheduled to hold from 18th to 22nd October 2023 in BSD City in Indonesia, he stated that the trade volume between Nigeria and Indonesia has hit $4.78 billion in 2022.
