De Imperial Philanthropic Family Officially Unveils 2023 Scholarship Scheme

In a momentous collaboration, the Best Brain Contest and the esteemed De Imperial Philanthropic Family have united to introduce a groundbreaking scholarship initiative valued at ₦400 million. This transformative program is set to elevate the lives of underprivileged students in Nigeria’s southeastern region by providing them access to quality education and unprecedented opportunities for personal and academic growth.

This strategic partnership signifies a profound commitment to making a lasting impact on the lives of underprivileged students and addressing the educational disparities that exist in the region. Both organizations are dedicated to fostering a brighter future for these students, setting a new standard in philanthropy and educational support.

The heart of this collaborative effort lies in the exclusive scholarship examinations tailored specifically for Junior Secondary School 1 (J.S.1) students in the South Eastern region. These examinations will take place in each state capital, ensuring that the program is accessible and inclusive to all. In particular, the exams will be hosted in Awka, Enugu, Abakaliki, Umuahia, and Owerri, representing Anambra, Enugu State, Ebonyi, Abia, and Imo, respectively. These locations serve as gateways to educational opportunities for the deserving students.

The De Imperial Philanthropic Family’s scholarship scheme will provide 250 students with the opportunity of a lifetime, with 50 students selected from each of the five southeastern states. This initiative not only grants these students access to education but also equips them with the means to break the cycle of poverty, offering a brighter and more promising future.

At its core, this scholarship initiative is an ambitious endeavor with a profound mission: to uplift 1000 students from underprivileged backgrounds in the southeastern states. It offers comprehensive support, covering educational expenses from Junior Secondary School 1 (J.S.1) to Senior Secondary School 3 (S.S.3). This encompassing support includes funding for school fees, essential writing materials, WAEC fees for both Junior and Senior levels, and JAMB fees, significantly alleviating the financial burden on students and their families. The aim is to create a more equitable and prosperous future for these students.

Hon. Frank Igbojindu, also known as Akpoazaa, the Chief Executive Officer of the Best Brain Contest, has expressed his unwavering support for this noble cause. He underscores the organization’s dedication to nurturing the talents and potential of young minds in the South Eastern region, recognizing the pivotal role of education as a catalyst for personal and societal transformation.

What sets this partnership and initiative apart is their forward-thinking vision. The De Imperial Philanthropic Family and Best Brain Contest are committed to making this an ongoing and sustainable effort. Their goal is to continue the program annually and reach an impressive 1000 beneficiaries within the span of four years. This visionary approach promises to provide thousands of deserving children with access to quality education, fostering a more equitable and prosperous future for the entire region.

The scholarship examinations are scheduled to commence in November 2023, starting in Anambra state on November 18, 2023, at St. John of God Secondary School in Awka. This event marks the beginning of a transformative educational journey for 250 fortunate students in the South East, offering them an opportunity to break free from the constraints of poverty and embark on a brighter future powered by education.

This collaboration between the Best Brain Contest and the De Imperial Philanthropic Family is a beacon of hope for underprivileged students in the South Eastern region. It showcases the potential for positive change through education and philanthropy, inspiring other organizations and individuals to join in the effort to transform lives and create a brighter future for all.
