Osun Pledges Enabling Environment for  Communities

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, yesterday said  that he would not relent in providing enabling environment in an efforts to improving the socio – economic and social conditions of communities through the Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA).

Adeleke, who was represented by the  Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs Hon. Ayobami Ganiyu Olaoluwa , stated this  at the inauguration of health centre and bore-hole water projects  in Sabo-Odo Eran Community in Olorunda Local Government Area of the state.

According to the governor,  the health centre and water projects were facilitated to serve the good people of the area.

Adeleke  stressed that the state was celebrating a dream fulfilled because it was a big boost to the agenda of his administration in increasing access of the people to socio-economic infrastructure.

According to him “ it’s worthy of note to say that the health centre and water projects will be to the benefit of all and sundry in this neighborhood.”

He said that the health centre will no doubt make health care accessible, put a stop to patronage of quacks doctors and help to shun self-medication, while water projects will reduce the pains of the past in walking miles to access water.

Also in her own remarks at the event, the General Manager of the state CSDA Aderonke Funmi Abokede, said she was delighted to showcase the achievements of the government through the agency.

She said: “No doubt, we all acknowledge the fact that water supply is crucial for socio-economic development and it’s also a truism that it’s availability in sufficient quality and quantity is a good step to poverty reduction.”

Abokede pointed  out that it was an intervention to accelerate access to potable water and  make available clean water in order to create truly hygienic setting for the people of the state.

She also commended Governor Adeleke for the funding and creating an enabling environment for the completion of the projects.

Abokede, however, concluded that Governor Ademola Adeleke is walking his talk on his  five points development agenda to ensure that electoral promises are translated into needed social amenities and development.
