Tribunal Commences Judgment Delivery in Obi’s Petition against Tinubu’s Election

The five member panel of justices hearing petitions against the election of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as President of Nigeria, finally kicks off with the calling of the petition of Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party.

The five member panel was led into the court room by Justice Haruna Tsammani at exactly 9.28am.

Tsammani, who welcomed litigants as well as journalists to the proceedings hinted that the judgment is a lengthy one and as such crave the understanding of litigants and all witnessing the proceedings.

He accordingly asked the registrar to call the first case which is that of the Labour Party.

While Julius Abure announced appearance for Obi; May Agbamuche-Mbu, Ganduje and shettima announced appearance for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), APC and himself respectively, while no appearance was mentioned for Tinubu.
