Bank Trains 1000 Executives On Improving Productivity Through Effective Listening By The Listening School

The most highly priced asset of companies and organisations is the workforce. That explains why most proactive organisations place a high premium on constantly improving workplace culture through engagements and trainings.

Keystone Bank recently demonstrated this commitment to improving workplace culture. The Bank recently announced the completion of a successful programme where 1000 Executives were trained in practical ways to increase effectiveness and efficiency through improved listening

The programmed themed: “Listening In The Workplace”, was organized in conjunction with The Listening School and designed to harness the immense potentials of effective listening in the workplace.

According to a statement from the Bank, the whole objective of the training was to “create a culture of listening, enhance communication and foster more productive meetings within the workplace. It is a desire to design and implement a comprehensive training program that would address the organization’s specific needs.”

The programme was specifically developed by The Listening School. The curriculum and structure was tailored to meet Keystone Bank’s unique requirements. These essentially entails equipping Executives with practical listening techniques and structures that can be immediately applied to boost productivity in everyday work.

The training program was divided into 26 streams. Each consisting of 40 participants. The sessions
were designed to be intense, interactive and highly engaging. The Management of the bank has also expressed satisfaction with the training programme.

A statement from Management, in part, read thus: “The programme has been nothing short of remarkable. Keystone Bank witnessed a transformation in its communication culture as executives almost immediately began to practice active listening, leading to clearer communication, reduced conflicts, and improved teamwork. The Listening in the Workplace programme not only met but exceeded expectations.”

“Feedback from participants overwhelmingly praised the program’s practicality and immediate
applicability in the workplace. Improved communication with colleagues and teams became the norm, leading to enhanced collaboration and a more positive work environment.”

Head, Learning Department, Keystone Bank, Mr. Abimbola Alabi also harped on the lasting impact of the training progaramme. He said: “It is about creating a workplace where every voice is heard, decisions are well-informed and employees thrive. That is what we have achieved.”

The Chief Executive Officer of The Listening School, Ebele Chukwujama also commended the participants and Management of Keystone Bank. She said: “Our Listening in the Workplace program, equips executives with the mindset and techniques to
connect with their teams and colleagues, in order to foster a culture of collaboration and understanding within the work environment.”
