The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has expressed readiness to partner with Eastwing Aviation Training School to boost the aviation sector in the southeast.
The ESUT representatives remarked on the collaboration during the inspection of the Eastwing Aviation Training School ahead of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The Dean of Engineering, Prof. G.O. Mbah, representing the Vice Chancellor of ESUT, noted, “One of the best things happening to ESUT now is trying to establish synergy or link with other institutions.”

He recalled how the Eastwing team visited his office two months ago. “I saw an opportunity to move ESUT beyond the way we thought.

“This makes me certain about the growth of the Southeast. Henceforth, my team and I will put our best foot forward to ensure the programme excels. I promise you, we will take this message to the Vice Chancellor and the management that something bigger than what we’ve been envisaging will begin to happen, “said Mbah.

In his reaction, the Proprietor and CEO of the training school, Dr. Christopher Edeh, lamented, “When I looked at the aviation industry, I saw that we, the Igbos, were left behind.
Edeh, however, recalled how the former Governor of the State, Chimaroke Nnamani, encouraged him before he secured a job at Nigeria College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, Kaduna state.

In his efforts to give back to society, Edeh insisted on establishing the school in Enugu state amid calls to take it to Lagos. “I wanted my people empowered.”
