Doma United Head Coach, Onigbinde, Reveals Team’s Readiness Ahead of New Season

Doma United head coach, Akinade Onigbinde, has revealed that the team is ready for the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Akinade was in charge of the Gombe Based club in their first season in the Nigerian top-flight league, where they narrowly missed out on the NPFL Championship playoff on goals difference to Sunshine Stars, who finished third in Group B.

While speaking in an exclusive interview with TheBSNSports.com.ng, Coach Akinade expressed that the team is still on pre-season but are ready for the season to kickoff.

“ We’re still on pre-season preparation, “Akinade said.

“ But we have assessed the team performance from last season, and brought some new players to blend with the players we have on ground.”

The Former FRSC FC gaffer also explained that the General manager of the club had a meeting with the team on the target for the season.

“ Yes, The General manager called a meeting with the team in general, and set-up a target which we are going to work hard, in other to achieve it.”

Akinade finally revealed that they learn a lot from last season being their first season in the Top-Flight league, but promised that the team will continue to work hard ahead of this season.

“ We learnt a lot from Last season and being our first experience in the NPFL, if we keep on working hard, I think we will be able to meet up with our target.

Doma United are currently on their Pre season preparation ahead of 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season kickoff, with the date of their away trip on Match-day 1 against Rangers International yet to be announced.
