Selected Players for Enyimba Youth Teams Hail Kanu
With the conclusion of the five days screening exercise for recruitment of young talents into Enyimba Int’l FC Youth teams, the successful players have continued to praise the Club Chairman, Kanu Nwankwo for his innovative plans for the People’s Elephant.
Some of the players who spoke to Enyimba media expressed their delight to have made the selection thanking the club Chairman, who approved the exercise.
Oti Devine, a 15-year-old attacking midfielder, Emmanuel David, 17-year-old and a centre forward, Okorie Wisdom, 15-year-old and a left back, Iheze Ugo Joseph, 16-year-old centre forward as well as Alfred Paul Albert, 16-year-old centre back all eulogised the former Arsenal legend thanking him for the opportunity to showcase their talent and be picked for the Enyimba Youth team system.
“I am happy i was able to make the team and I wish to thank all who made the screening exercise possible, especially the Club Chairman, Kanu Nwankwo,” Divine said.
“I feel good about the screening because it will help talented players who do not have job in Abia state, all thanks to the Chairman for introducing this to help the young ones like us,” 16 years Okorie Wisdom stated.
For Alfed Paul, he said, “I’m happy for this opportunity to show our talents and grateful to Papilo and Enyimba management.”
The players who were successfully selected from the screening exercise at the instance of Nwankwo will be integrated into the Enyimba U-15 and U-19 teams ahead of the new season’s NPFL/LaLiga U-15 tournament as well as the nation -wide, NLO youth development league.
