Tripple 44 Prodigy Joins Shooting Stars on 3-year Deal

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) have officially announced the signing of Mustapha Adam, a centre forward and youth product of Tripple 44 on a 3-year deal. The left footed center and energetic forward has been training with Shooting Stars for a couple of weeks and participated in the club’s preseason where he scored a couple of goals.

Mustapha Adam developed in one of the fast rising football academies in West Africa, Tripple 44 Academy started his career as a defensive midfielder before being converted by the Academy’s proprietor and Sporting Director, Samuel Olatunji Okuku. Reacting to the official announcement of the player by the Oluyole Warriors, Tripple 44 Academy on one of its social media platforms posted: “One of our dogged striker Adam Agba takes the next step with the Oluyole Warriors @Official3SC on a 3-year deal. We appreciate your grit all through your time with us, you will be greatly missed. We wish you all the best.” Shooting Stars also confirmed the signing of the young striker on its Twitter account now X with this statement; “Confirmed! From Tripple 44 FA, we have secured the services of Mustapha Adam Agba. “The energetic striker joins the Oluyole Warriors on a 3-year deal.”

Meanwhile, former Heartland FC of Owerri forward, Christian Pyagbara, is set to make a return to Nigerian football as he completes a transfer to Shooting Stars ahead of the upcoming 2023/24 NPFL season.

Pyagbara’s move to the Oluyole Warriors comes on the heels of a successful trial with the club.

The talented forward, who previously plied his trade with Akwa United, earned his place in Gbenga Ogunbote’s squad after impressing during the team’s intensive training camp in Ijebu-Ode.

Pyagbara’s arrival adds depth and experience to the Shooting Stars roster, injecting fresh talent into the squad as they prepare for the new NPFL campaign.

Christian Pyagbara had been without a club since his departure from Latvia’s JFK Ventspils in 2020. The 2023/24 season marks his return to the NPFL, having last featured in the league with Heartland FC in 2019.

The forward’s football journey began with the defunct Sharks of Port Harcourt, now known as Rivers United, where he honed his skills and began making a name for himself in Nigerian football circles.

As Pyagbara dons the Shooting Stars jersey, fans eagerly await his contributions on the pitch. His experience and goal-scoring prowess could prove invaluable to the team’s ambitions in the upcoming NPFL season.

This signing underscores Shooting Stars’ commitment to strengthening their squad and competing at a high level in Nigerian football.
