Moses Simon Regains Scoring Form, On Target Again

Nigerian international, Moses Simon, appears to have regain his scoring wand as he was on scorer’s sheet again at the weekend as he scored a goal and recorded two crucial assists in Nantes 5-3 defeat of Lorient in a French Ligue 1 game on Saturday.

Moses who returned to winning ways this season after firing blanks almost al, through last season, put up a decent display that may have wiped the sad memories of his better forgotten last season.

Lorient took the early lead through Eli Kroupi Jr in the sixth minute before Abline leveled parity for the host in the 42nd minute thanks to an assist from Simon.

Comert made it 2-1 for Nantes in the 46th minute before Mohamed extended their lead to 3-1 in the 55th minute.

However, Faivre reduced the scoreline to 3-2 when he netted in the 75th minute before Mollet scored a brilliant goal to make it 4-2 thanks to another assist from the Nigerian international.

Aiyegun netted for Lorient to reduce the scoreline to 4-3, but Simon ensure the game was put to bed when he netted a penalty to all but end any comeback from Lorient.

The win move Nantes to sixth on the league table on eight points while Lorient sit 14th on six points.
