Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) is set to run programmes, including Nursing, at its School of Health Technology, Epe Campus.

The Rector, Dr. Ibraheem Abdul, who disclosed this recently when he paid a courtesy visit to the former first lady of Lagos state, Lady Doja Otedola, at her family compound in Odo Irangushi, Epe, explained to the matriarch of Otedolas that his administration plans to situate three capital projects of the college at its Epe campus to advance the course of the institution and Epe community in general.

The projects are the School of Health Technology, Centre for Open, Distance and Flexible e-Learning and the expansion of the information communication technology (ICT) programmes.

These, he noted, aligned with the new administration’s agenda of repackaging all college academic and skills development programmes.

Abdul, who was visiting Lady Otedola for the first time since he assumed office as the rector, thanked the Otedola family and the Epe community for providing the land where its Epe campus resided for free.

“The college will reciprocate the good gesture,” he said.

Lady Otedola appealed to the college’s management to engage in developmental projects to give back to the Epe community and change the employment status of the indigene of Odo-Irangushin working in the college from temporary to permanent staff.

She said education is important to the people of Epe, adding that YABATECH should do the needful by encouraging the youths in the area to embrace it because they are future leaders.
