Lokpobiri, Alake Listed as Key Speakers as Angola Embassy Hosts Nigeria Business Community

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri and the Minister of Solid Mineral Resources, Dele Alake, have accepted to give key notes addresses at the first Angolan Embassy dinner for business community in Nigeria.
This initiative was part of efforts to enhance business relationship between both countries.
The two ministers have accepted to honour the invitation extended to them by the Angola ambassador to Nigeria, Dr. Jose Bamoquina Zau.
President Ahmed Tinubu and his Angolan counterpart Joao Manuel, on the sidelines of the just concluded United Nations 78th General Assembly in New York, had explored opportunities on how to solidify relationships between the two nations.

The new Angolan Ambassador to Nigeria, Zau, in a letter to Lokpobiri, explained that the embassy was preparing to host an interactive Diplomatic dinner between business leaders in Nigeria and their counterparts coming from Angola
The new Angolan ambassador said Angola and Nigeria share very similar stories with the abundance of natural resources available to both nations and the interactive section would be an opportunity for the industry players to share experiences and explore business partnerships.
According to the Angolan Embassy in Abuja, the interactive session which would be held at the Transcorp Hilton on October 19, would be under the theme of “Introducing a New Era of Sustainable Business Partnership.”
Zau, said that top Angolan officials expected at the Business dinner “are Senior Executives from the Public Sector, the National Bank/of Angola, Private Bankers, State and Private Companies and the Angolan Nigeria Chamber of Commerce and Industry while the Nigeria guests expected are Governors, Bankers, Oil and Gas executives and the extractive industry players”
The Embassy stated that/business dinner was also an opportunity for the new Ambassador to be introduced to the Nigeria business community as well as avail both countries a new vista of business relationships.
The letter signed by the new Angolan ambassador added: “With the presence of all these Executives from Angola and the sincere dedication of the new Ambassador to this cause, we believe that we are about to witness the birth of a new era: A Sustainable Business Partnership between Angola and Nigeria.
“We therefore humbly request that Your Excellency reserves this date to honour us with your presence and to make a brief remark of about five to Seven minutes at the event.”, Zau stated.
The two ministers have accepted the invitation.
