LandWey’s ‘Isimi’ Project Promotes Sustainable Living

Inline with the United Nations agenda for sustainable cities and communities by 2030, a real -estate and property development firm, LandWey has unveiled project ‘Isimi’ in Lagos to align with pressing urban realities.
According to the organisation, the project became imperative following a population boom in urban Lagos, which according to Lagos Bureau of Statistics, about 2000 people move into Lagos daily.
It stated that new realities, amid climate change challenges had made sustainable and eco-friendly environment non-negotiable.
Speaking, CEO of Landwey Investment Ltd, Sheila Ojei said that the project is designed to create a sustainable and environmentally friendly urban haven.
She said, “True to its name, Isimi which translates to ‘rest’, offers a sense of tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle of a 21st-century city. It aims to establish an eco-friendly city within a city, leveraging innovative technologies and prudent natural resource management to enrich the lives of residents.
“This roadmap is pivotal in realising the vision of sustainable living in Nigeria. Serving as a beacon of future living, the project epitomises an unwavering commitment to property development that transcends the ordinary, elevating the daily experiences of its inhabitants”.
Ojei said that the project is also exploring partnership with public and private players, as well as green technology revolution to enhance quality living, while also supporting economic growth.
She added, “The Isimi projects sit excessively into the plan of the government to drive sustainability across various channels for residents. Besides, various sectors will have the capacity to thrive with the provision of demands that fit into this new form of living”.
Noting that attaining the much-desired cities of future in Africa was still constrained by certain gaps, Ojei assured that Isimi project boasts a promising landscape for desired future.
“By embracing nature, biodiversity, and mechanisms to reduce pollution in a serene space, there is an upend trend that is nearing its achievements, immersing an innovative spectrum of possibility and transformation.
