HACEY Set to Give Quality Healthcare to Pregnant Women in Osun

In a bid to give quality healthcare to over 1,000 pregnant women, global health non- governmental organisation,  Hacey and Intellectual Property and Research Development  (IPRD )have donated health commodities to Osun State Government.

The Executive Director, Hacey, Rhoda Robinson, who  presented the commodities, reiterated the commitment to help in reducing maternal and infant mortality in the state. The health commodities, which were donated under the impact health projects, included malaria drugs, rapid diagnosis test, and malaria test kits for pregnant women, among others.

According to Robinson, this would help improve the quality healthcare given to over 1,000 pregnant women in 11 healthcare facilities spread across five local government areas of Osun State.

Having earlier digitise the healthcare at the primary healthcare centres with solar system to power them, Robinson, said efforts are on to ensure data acquired from the devices given to the primary healthcare centres (PHCS) are used to improve healthcare for the people of the state.

In his message, the President of  IPRD Solutions,  Keith Hanna, noted that they are working with software talent that would bring reliable data to Osun State.

Also in his remarks, the Director of Public health, Osun State Ministry of Health, Dr Akeem Bello, noted that the donation will improve the quality of healthcare in the state.

Equally the representative of PHCS, Folashade Ajagbe, commended HACEY and the IPRD  for the giant initiative.

Programme Manager, Miss Oluwatomi Olunuga,  while giving the presentation of the Impact Health Data Management dashboard remarked that HACEY  has been at the forefront of championing the fight against maternal and infant mortality in Osun State since 2014.

She posited that the organisation would be improving delivery and quantity of healthcare through technology.
