Saraki Urges PDP Leaders Unite for Future Electoral Success in Kwara

Former  President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki at the weekend counseled leaders and  members of the state working committee of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Kwara state to avoid cracks at all levels but to intensify regular running of the party activities in a bid to rebuild the party for future outings.

Saraki stated this in Ilorin after meeting the stakeholders of the party held  in Ilorrin.

According to the statement, Saraki also admonished them  to remain steadfast, work together as a team  and believe in one another for future electoral success.

The meeting was attended by party elders, state executives, local government chairmen, youth and women groups.

The meeting also witnessed the formal introduction of the newly elected State Deputy Chairman Alhaji Idris K. Mudashiru, Secretary, Comrade Abdulrahman Abdullahi Kayode, Youth Leader, Mallam Muhammed Abdulmumini, and the Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Olusegun Olusola Adewara.

The PDP national leader appreciated the party leaders for holding the party structure and building the bond, which according to him, is necessary for unity and development.

“It is that unity of purpose that has always stood us out from time, unlike any other political family, and we must not take that for granted. I am confident and I have not lost any hope, in the party and the people.

“Let us continue to strengthen the party structure. We must particularly motivate party members in our various wards especially the women and youth groups to step up party activities across the state to rescue Kwara from retrogression,” he said.

Also speaking at the meeting, the state chairman of the  PDP, Hon. Tunde Muhammed,  thanked the former Senate President, Dr. Saraki for his leadership prowess and dedication to the success of the party.

He therefore, pledged to double their efforts in all areas towards the growth of the Party, in a bid to reclaim power in Kwara for the good of the people.
