Popular Broadcast Journalist, Joseph Effiong to be Honoured at Africa Illustrious Award

Renowned media entrepreneur and philanthropist,  Joseph Effiong will be honoured alongside other eminent Africans   at the 2023 edition of the Africa Illustrious Award. 

The award which is convened by My Media Africa is esteemed as Africa’s most reputable award for African achievers globally and seeks to recognise individuals and organisations who have exhibited exceptional strong and innovative leadership. 

Besides, the award celebrates outstanding players in philanthropy, community development, business, academia, education and agriculture, among others.

This year,the organisers of the annual event  has carefully selected winning icons who match-up with their tough and diversed criteria, including Effiong, fondly addressed as Odogwu.

A statement by the award organisers revealed that the award programme will be coming up by October 13, 2023 at Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. 

Previous editions of the award have produced highly individuals calling the shot in there  spheres. They include former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan; 

former Prime Minister of Eswatini, Dr Absalom Dlamini; former Governor of the Machakos County in Kenya,Dr. Alfred Mutua and renowned human rights activist, Prof. Patrick Lumumba,amongst others.
