The Chairman, Enterprise NGR, Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede has stated that part of the non-profit organization’s objectives is to position Nigeria as Africa’s premier financial destination.
Speaking to journalists at the quarterly night dinner hosted by Deputy Managing Partner, Templars, Mr Chike Obianwu in Lagos, Aig-Imoukhuede said the partnership with the Lagos state government comes on the backdrop of the State government’s ambition of becoming an entering point into Nigeria for investment.
According to Aig-Imoukhuede, “The likes of Dubai, Singapore, and Botswana have focused on policies of making a city or state an international financial center that is able to attract massive investments. This is not something a private sector can do on its own as it requires partnership.”
Also speaking at the dinner, Chief Executive Officer, EnterpriseNGR, Obi Ibekwe, highlighting achievement in the last two years said, the non-profitable organization has recorded a remarkable achievement.
Highlighting them she said, “The first one is to unite the voice of the Financial and Professional Services sector and the way we go about it is to bring members to EnterpriseNGR.
“When EnterpriseNGR was launched, we had seven founders and today, we have 23 members across all categories. This is remarkable because of the significant financial commitment that our members have to make as they come on board and it is demonstrating their commitment to the EnterpriseNGR vision. We’re hopeful that we will soon surpass that 23 because we have a number of prospects showing interest in joining us.”
