Nigeria Firms Partner to Fund Cancer Treatment

Two non-profit organisations, In Service of Humanity Charity Foundation (ISOH) and Sebeccly Cancer Care have come together to raise support fund for breast cancer patients in Nigeria. 

According to them, the support will alleviate costs associated with chemotherapy for five patients such that will reduce financial burden of treatment, and ultimately improve survival rates in Nigeria. 

Shedding more light on the partnership, Co-founder and Director of ISOH, Nene Bejide said the move demonstrates the firm’s commitment to fostering positive change and raising the hopes of patients.

“Sebeccly is renowned for its efforts in helping cancer patients through essential information and facilitating support groups for patients. The grant from ISOH will be allocated to alleviate the costs associated with chemotherapy for patients in the treatment process. We have carefully selected Pearl Oncology Clinic, Ojo, and Lagos as the partnering hospital for to manage and administer the chemotherapy treatment”, she said. 

Also commenting, Media and Communications Executive at Sebeccly Cancer Care, Damilola Okegbemi averred that breast cancer remained a pressing issue amongst women, submitting that Breast Cancer Awareness Month was a critical time to raise awareness on early screening and support those affected.

She said, “We are joining hands with ISOH during this significant month to demonstrate our commitment to making a change”.
