FinTribe to Host over 4000 Women at Inaugural Finance Fair in Lagos, to Spotlight Innovative Financial Solutions

Nigeria’s first and largest women-only finance community, FinTribe, has announced its first-ever Finance Fair, a one-of-a-kind event to guide today’s women on building wealth and the latest trends and innovations in the financial sector.

With the theme: ‘Challenge Yourself’, the Finance Fair is billed for October 14, 2023, at the Oriental Hotel’s grand ballroom in Lagos. It will feature various activities and opportunities for women to learn, network and sign up for financial services of their choice.

According to the organisers, the attendance is free, but intending participants must register to gain entry to the venue.

They stated that the event is open to all women interested in improving their financial knowledge and skills and exploring new opportunities and possibilities in the financial sector.

According to Jennifer Awirigwe, the FinTribe Founder and renowned finance expert, who is popularly known as Financial Jennifer, “Attendees will have hands-on experience with various financial products and services, including savings, investment, real estate, trustee, and more. They will also be able to interact with service providers and receive guidance and onboarding on the spot.

“In talking to women about their finances, we realised that as women, we learn a lot about finance/investments, but are still unsure how to proceed. Now, one-on-one guidance and implementation are what we need. This is the gap we seek to close.”

She added that: “There are many events and coaches telling women to take their finances seriously and build wealth, but not many have created the environment for this to happen. That is what FinTribe seeks to do. So, it will be less talking, but more action and practical tips and experience this time.”

Also lined up for the event is a keynote conversation with respected communications leader, Nkiru Olumide-Ojo. The head of Africa Regions Corporate Communications Marketing and Corporate Social Impact at Standard Bank Group will join the FinTribe founder in a practical conversation to share personal insights and tips on achieving financial success.

Also, a fireside chat will feature the 43rd Miss Nigeria and reality Television star, Beauty Tukura; renowned investor and Chief Executive Officer of Twelve, a digital financial services company, Tomie Balogun; Publisher of Exquisite Magazine, Tewa Onasanya, and author and Founder of Blooming Amazons Ministry (BLAM), Tolulope Tunde-Ajiboye.

Another highlight of the finance fair is a micro-talk where filmmaker and recent BBNaija Allstars housemate, Alex Unusual, will appear in a no-holds-barred conversation tagged: ‘The Woman and Her Money’, with the Founder of Fair and Fest Events, Dima Hamze-Ghraizi.

Some women from the FinTribe community will also feature in a roundtable to share their wealth stories and experiences in the financial world.

The organisers noted that the FinTribe Finance Fair is a 360 event for women from all walks of life, adding that attendees will enjoy networking sessions, visit practical finance exhibitions, and get all their burning money questions answered while mingling with other participants.

“The event will be further enriched by the backdrop of great music and delectable refreshments, creating a dynamic atmosphere for fruitful interactions and insights.

“Attendees will also have the chance to win prizes based on their arrival time and the number of booths they visit. Fun prizes include but are not limited to an all-expense paid trip, a plot of land, free iPhones, spa treats, and much more. For more details on how to take advantage of this, head to https://thefintribe.com/fair/ to secure your spot,” they added.
