Kirti Sudhanshu Reaffirms Commitment to Promoting Menstrual Hygiene in Nigeria

The Nigeria Pad Bank Project Chairman, Kirti Sudhanshu, has reaffirmed commitment towards promoting menstrual hygiene and awareness in the country.
According to her, the move is aimed at providing support for the girl child in need and demonstrates the shining example of women supporting women in a selfless humanitarian effort to put smile on the faces of the girl child.


Joining the rest of the world to celebrate the international Girl Child Day, Sudhanshu said it is not just about raising awareness for menstrual hygiene, but a game-changer for the girl child and aims to set new milestones for future generations.


She also stated that it symbolizes the power of women supporting women, emphasizing the importance of providing a safe and secure environment for girls to thrive.


Recall that the launch of the Nigeria Pad Bank project, Pad for a girl, initiated by 1000 Peace Ambassador recently appointed Kirti Sudhanshu as the Chairman of the Pad Bank Project.


Joining forces with Kirti, Dr. Olori Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi, the wife of the revered Ooni of Ife known for her generosity and kindness, has been an inspiration to many through her foundation Hopesalive Initiative for Africa (HAI) established in 2017 where she serves as the Deputy Convener of the Non Governmental Organisation (NGO).


KIRTI had the privilege of meeting Amb. Dr. Olori Temitope during the early stages of KKF, where she witnessed firsthand the royal queen’s unwavering support and guidance.


Recognizing the immense potential of the Nigeria Pad Bank project, Kirti successfully convinced Amb. Dr. Olori Temitope to be the Royal Mother of the project and guide them for future endeavors.

The project is led by AMB KIRTI SUDHANSHU, an Indian woman who has dedicated her life to making a difference has found her purpose in the Nigeria Pad Bank project and believes that every girl child deserves to be safe and secure.


She said with her passion and commitment, she aims to change the narratives surrounding menstrual hygiene and cultivate the belief that women can support each other selflessly.


“We believe that no pain should be in vain, and our girl child deserves to be protected. Through the Nigeria Pad Bank project, we are creating a platform for women to support each other, to understand and share the experiences of girlhood. Together, we can make a positive impact and empower our girls for a brighter future,” she stressed
