Naira Appreciates at Parallel, Depreciates Marginally at the Official Market to N1040/$1,N764.86/$1

The Naira appreciated slightly at the parallel market in reaction to the lifting of previously banned 43 items from accessing foreign exchange from the parallel market and the official I&E window, with rates appreciating to N1040/$1 from N1050/$1, recorded the previous day.

The official I&E window however depreciated slightly to N764.86/$1 from N759.20/$1 it recorded the previous day.

However, notably the official I&E window reported a daily volume turnover of $53.02 million a sharp decline of 87 per cent compared to $407.66 million, it recorded the previous day.

Furthermore, the highest spot rate observed during the day was N799.90/$1, while the lowest spot rate stood at N475/$1.
