SoberTech to hold “The Opioid Paradox Essay Competition” in BUK

“SoberTech is all set to host a significant event, ‘The Opioid Paradox Essay Competition,’ exclusively targeted at Bayero University students in Kano. The primary goal behind this contest is to heighten awareness about drug abuse, a crucial aspect of SoberTech’s ongoing campaign to combat this issue.

Limited to 50 applicants enrolled at Bayero University, interested individuals must fill out an online form and submit a written essay, serving as the qualifying factor for participation in the competition. This platform promises engaging opportunities. All submissions must be made before October 24, 2023. Following the initial submission, a panel of judges will shortlist ten contestants, who will move forward to the video essay contest, where three winners will be selected and rewarded with cash prizes.

Under the guidance of Dinah Lugard, a distinguished electrical engineer and cybersecurity expert, SoberTech strives to create a world where individuals struggling with addiction find non-judgmental support and valuable resources for their journey to sobriety. The core objective is to educate both students and the wider public about the dangers of drug abuse.

SoberTech actively recognizes the significance of prevention through awareness and substantiates this awareness with tangible actions. They proactively distribute customized packages and essential items to those in need, solidifying their commitment to assisting vulnerable communities.

However, SoberTech’s commitment extends beyond raising awareness. They also focus on enhancing the rehabilitation experience. To achieve this, they equip rehabilitation centers with electronic devices designed to make the journey to sobriety more effective and enjoyable. This integration of technology into addiction recovery seamlessly aligns with their primary mission of leveraging innovation to drive positive change.”
