Kogi Central NNPP Collapses Structures for LP, Vow to Deliver Guber Candidate

Ahead of November 11 governorship election in Kogi State, the entire members and supporters  of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) from Kogi Central senatorial district  have dumped  the party to join Labour Party.

The defectors, who are drawn from Kogi Central district Okene , Adavi , Ajaokuta Okehi and Ogori/magongo local government areas joined labour in Lokoja yesterday.

The leader of defectors and former Kogi Central Zonal Chairman of NNPP ,Abdul Suleiman Ahmed, explained that they have decided to join Labour Party based on the robust relation between the NNPP and Labour before the last general election.

He added that having  studied closely the party and its gubernatorial candidate “we have decided to collapse the entire structure for Labour Party.”

According to him, “we have made up our minds to work hard to deliver our governorship candidate , Adejoh Okeme come November 11 governorship election.”

He pointed out that all defectors have unanimously agreed to join  Labour Party and will work hard to rescue the State from from those oppressing the people of Kogi State.

While receiving the defectors , the gubernatorial candidate of Labour Party , Adejoh Okeme, explained that Labour  Party has a  good pedigree in Nigeria politics , stressing that the NNPP defectors have made right choice by joining LP.

He stated that today is a remarkable day because God has ordained it.”We win the governorship in Kogi and create equal opportunity for all.”

“We have an apple opportunity to rescue the state from maladministration .This is the time to change our narratives.You should come out, vote and defend your vote,”he stressed.

He lamented that every sector of Kogi economy has been destroyed, stressing this the time to bring state back.

Kogi State is richly endowed  but unfortunately people of the state have been impoverished.
