Second Set of Graduates Emerge from The Phoenix Project

The Phoenix Project, a collaboration between Accelerate, Access Bank, and the School of Media and Communication at Pan-Atlantic University, recently graduated its second cohort of learners in an exclusive ceremony.

The graduation marked a significant milestone for the project which seeks to support aspiring talents in the creative sector.

“We are thrilled to have graduated our cohort two learners as it has been a journey of learning and exploring innovative strategies to excel in the creative industry,” said the CEO of Accelerate, Colette Otusheso.

Since its launch in April 2022, The Phoenix Project has focused on providing opportunities for young individuals in the creative sector. With over 8,000 learners benefiting from its programs, these graduates have acquired valuable skills and knowledge to help them in their creative pursuits.

The Phoenix Den, a pivotal feature of The Phoenix Project, allows graduates to access internship opportunities within creative organizations and business grants. In the initial cohort, graduates secured three-month internships with various creative organizations.

Some learners proceeded to the incubation phase, collaborating with the Nest Hub, where they had the opportunity to present their business ideas to a panel of judges. Five recipients were granted business funding, which aided their entrepreneurial journey.

The second cohort of learners, which recently completed intensive intermediate and advanced training sessions, is now part of the graduates.

Like their predecessors, they gain access to The Phoenix Den, opening doors to internship opportunities and incubation support within the creative industry.
