Abducted Kwara Lawmaker’s Wife, Children Regain Freedom

The wife and two children of a member of the Kwara State House of Assembly, who were abducted last Tuesday, have regained freedom.
They were released last Wednesday according to sources close to the family of the lawmaker, Hon. Lawal Ayansola, a current member of the state Assembly representing Malete/Ipaye/Olooru constituency.
The trio were reportedly abducted by armed men at their Shao residence in Moro Local Government Area of the state.
Following the development, combined efforts of the men of the security agencies and the support of the state government were deployed to free the victims.
However, when contacted on the release of the victims, the state Police Command Public Relations Officer(PPRO), Mr. Okasanmi Ajayi, who confirmed the release of the victims, stated that the victims had regained their freedom and reunited with their familY.
The spokesman further disclosed that five suspects have been apprehended in connection with the abduction of the three victims, and are helping in the ongoing investigation.
