With a visionary approach, Spazio Ideale is dedicated to improving lives through exceptional design and excellent execution. Spazio Ideale is a multi-disciplinary interior design firm that specializes in comprehensive interior design, consultancy services, and turnkey installations. Spazio Ideale has been pushing boundaries and redefining design, infusing it with authenticity, and innovation, with a distinct narrative rooted in African heritage.
At Design Week Lagos, Spazio Ideale’s booth stood as a testament to their commitment to innovation by merging the past with the future. Inspired by the earlier architectural practices, the booth is a fine mix of these practices with current 3D realization and futuristic virtual reality. The booth design speaks volumes about the evolution of design and its transformative impact on innovation.
This evolution, from manual 2D sketches to the incorporation of AI and VR/AR technologies, symbolizes the strides Africa is making in design and technology. Spazio Ideale, keenly aware of this progress, is at the forefront of embracing these advancements to elevate African design to global standards.
As a creative interior design company, Spazio Ideale recognizes the need to throw out the rule book and reimagine design from an African perspective. The unconventional orientation of their booth challenges conventional thinking, urging us to think beyond imagination and harness our unique identity and the natural resources available to us. This forward-thinking approach extends to sustainability, utilizing local raw materials to create spaces that not only look good but contribute positively to the environment.
Spazio Ideale also showcased its innovative furniture product, the Itunu Desk. Launched in 2022, Ijoko made its first debut in the product design space with the release of the Itunu desk; part of its work-from-home-kit collection. The desk is evidence of a new era of design, breaking free from Western conventions. The rope storage pays subtle homage to African heritage, infusing the desk with a unique identity. This marks a shift towards designing for Africans, rather than conforming to external influences. As we embrace the future of work, the Itunu Comfort Desk bridges tradition and progress, inviting us to a space where comfort and style merge in a narrative that speaks to the evolving landscape of work and design.
Spazio Ideale’s presence at Design Week Lagos 2023 was nothing short of a revelation, demonstrating the transformative power of creative design. By merging the past with the future, infusing African style, and embracing innovative products like the Itunu Comfort Desk, Spazio Ideale is at the forefront of shaping the future of African design.
