Minister Urges Kogi Electorate to Vote for APC Candidate, Ododo

Ahead of the November 11th governorship election in Kogi State, the Minister of Steel Development, Mr. Shuaibu Abubarka Audu, has urged the electorate in the state to vote for the All Progressive Congress’s (APC) candidate, Mr. Ododo Usman.

Audu made this call while addressing the large crowd of APC supporters during the Kogi East Zonal really at Anyingba in Dekina Local government area of Kogi State on Saturday.

He explained that it is only the APC that is working for Kogi agenda, urging the people of the East Senatorial district to vote en mass for APC governorship candidate, Ododo.

“We are here today to sell a Kogi agenda, an agenda that represents the interests of the entire Kogi State, east, west and central. The party that represents a Kogi agenda is the APC.

“Our candidate, Mr. Ahmed Usman Ododo, has a vision for Kogi State to build on the legacy of Mr. Yahaya Adoza Bello.

“The whole country knows today that Kogi is the most secured state in North-central Nigeria. Thanks to our indefatigable governor, Matador Yahaya Adoza Bello.

“They also plan to bring massive job opportunities to the incoming administration through the agricultural revolution and through expanding the capacity to be able to produce several agricultural produce across Kogi State, but particularly in Kogi East in Ane-Igala.

“To support our party, to support our candidate, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, who appointed me as the Minister of Steel Development because of the nomination of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Mr. Yahaya Adoza Bello, has said that he is very interested in the future and the success of Kogi State through the development of Ajaokuta Steel and providing massive job opportunities.

“But for us to achieve that, we must ensure that Kogi State is not handed over to a hostile government, a hostile government being all the opposition parties. We cannot afford to hand over a strategically important state such as Kogi State to another party.

“We must continue and consolidate on the good work of our governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, by voting massively for Mr.Ahmed Usman Ododo,” Audu stressed.

In his address, Governor of Yahaya Bello told the crowd that his time is coming to an end as the Chief Executive and Executive Governor of Kogi State. We are in the process of selecting another governor.”

“With the grace of God, Ahmed Usman Ododo and Joe Salifu will continue from where I would stop.

“In the process, we have to tell you what we have been able to achieve, where we are coming from, where we are today, and where we are headed tomorrow,” Bello said.

Earlier in his remarks, the APC flag bearer, Mr. Ododo Usman, commended  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for believing in Kogi Agenda for Peace, Kogi Agenda for Prosperity, Kogi Agenda for Development, Kogi Agenda for Security of Lives and Livelihood of our Dearest.

“I want to appreciate you once again for coming out enmasse to witness this occasion. I want to promise that APC is a party to beat, and as such, don’t engage yourself in violence.

“Avoid them, and make sure you come out November 11, 2023 to vote APC. Voting APC is a vote for development. Voting APC is a vote for progress. Voting APC is a vote for unity. Voting APC, we are voting for ourselves.”
