IREDE Foundation, Partner A.C.E on Limb Empowerment Project Handover

The IREDE Foundation has partnered ACE (Action for change and empowerment) to mark a significant milestone in their collaborative journey to empower champions (Child amputees) with the gift of mobility and hope through the Limb Empowerment Project.


The Executive Director of The IREDE Foundation, Mrs. Crystal Chigbu, expressed profound gratitude to the attendees, which included the A.C.E Team, TIF Team, champions (Child amputees), caregivers, media partners, and the press.


She emphasized their shared commitment to making a lasting impact on the lives of champions.


According to Chigbu, “Through the partnership, champions received not only prosthetic limbs but also a sense of belonging, self-confidence, and an unwavering belief in their limitless potential, adding that the collaboration serves as a beacon of hope, demonstrating the profound impact that can be made when individuals and organizations unite with compassion.”
Earlier in her remarks, the IREDE Foundation Operations Lead, Oluwaseun Ayodeji, welcomed everyone with honour and delight.


She highlighted the significance of the ACE project in empowering champions (Child amputees) and fostering an environment that champions inclusion and empowerment of children with disabilities.

The Director of Action for Change and Empowerment (A.C.E), Mr. Agboola Obanubi, extended warm thanks to The IREDE Team.


He highlighted the significance of the partnership and how it had broadened his understanding of empowering champions with limb loss.


Obanubi encouraged champions to use their prosthetics as tools for achieving excellence in all aspects of life.


He also urged champions (Child amputees) to pay this kindness forward, ensuring that the cycle of support continues. A.C.E and The IREDE Foundation remain committed to supporting champions throughout their journey, recognizing that children outgrow their prostheses and may require replacements.


Obanubi said: “The champions (Child amputees) expressed their heartfelt gratitude to The IREDE Foundation and A.C.E, stating that they are now able to move around on their own without support. They emphasized how the prosthetic limbs have transformed their lives, enabling them to enjoy newfound independence and mobility.”


In his remarks, Programme Associate at The IREDE Foundation, Obafemi Ekundayo expressed gratitude to A.C.E for the partnership, emphasizing the significant contribution to the 2023 goal of empowering 200 champions.


He expressed optimism about the birth of something great through this partnership.
