Mentor Matchup Challenge Set to Hold 5th Edition to Promote Indigenous Industries

The annual Mentor-Matchup Challenge (MMC) 5.0, is back again for the 5th edition with the aim to “Promote Indigenous Industries.

MMC which is an initiative of mmc.234Finance.com is designed to bridge practical knowledge gaps amongst African founders.

In a statement, it was noted that scheduled to take place on the 6th of December 2023 at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria, MMC 5.0 is a highly anticipated annual event that brings together active players who promote local content, capacity building and local production in key sectors of the economy.

The statement also said some of the confirmed speakers include: Group Managing Director, UTM Offshore Limited; Julius Rone OFR – Group Managing Director of Nepal Energies, Barr. Mrs Ngozi Ekeoma; Executive Chairman, Millenium Oil and Gas Cecilia Umoren; CEO of Moneda Invest Ejike Egbuagu; Chairman of Mitra Energy; Michel Ussene; Group Sales and Marketing Director, Rabiu Umar – Dangote Plc; Co-founder and CEO of Carbon, Chijioke Dozie; Managing Director of Sebore Group Aminu Nyako; and Managing Partner of Lavida Studios, Chioma Ude; and others.

The statement further explained that the year’s event will feature 30 speakers, 300 delegates, 30 exhibitors, 2 key note speeches, 5 panel discussions across six key sectors including Energy, Agribusiness, Trade and Retail, Manufacturing, Logistics and the Creative Industry.

“Our previous events combined, have featured 12 panel discussions, 18 intimate mentorship sessions and 18 pitching sessions where over $100,000 was disbursed to 12 winners in cash and consulting services over the years. We have witnessed businesses scale up their operations, improve their processes and increase their workforce after participating at our event and we would be showcasing some of the success stories from the previous participants at MMC5.0,” Ezinne Nwazulu, Managing Partner of 234Finance said.

She explained that the event is carefully curated to feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, intimate mentorship sessions and networking opportunities, light entertainment and the local content exhibition.

According to Nwazulu, the aim of MMC5.0 is to gives attendees insights on practical business strategies required to scale up their operations, give visibility to indigenous brands through the local content exhibition and ultimately help participants achieve personal/organizational objectives.

She noted that the objectives of the Mentor Matchup Challenge include:
