Interior Minister, Tunji-Ojo as a Poster Boy in the Making
Dignity and respect are important indices for self-evaluation. With the Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo in the Minister of Interior seat, Nigeria will achieve these indices. Plotting the graph from what Tunji-Ojo has done and intends to do, many other good things are in view for this country.
Nigeria is many things to many nations, including Africa’s Big Brother. But this is often understood in softness and flexibility rather than toughness and firmness. All this is about to end with the work and intentions of Tunji-Ojo. Starting soon, Nigeria’s openness to international actors will be based on the principle of mutuality.
Speaking during the BusinessDay Conference tagged “Nigeria Forward: Catalysing Funding for High Impact Social Projects,” Tunji-Ojo described his plans for the country’s future and foreigners’ right of entry. During his session marked “Funding for Change: Building Bridges for a Resilient Nigeria,” Tunji-Ojo explained the conditions for approving visas for visitors.
According to the Interior Minister, the time has come for the scrutiny of all visitors seeking to enter Nigeria. The era of opening the country’s doors to all Thompsons, Dicksons, and Harrisons has come to an end. To wit, international visitors must now prove that they are bringing some value to Nigeria, or no entry.
Tunji-Ojo also explained the benefits of the policy change to the cheering crowd at the conference. By every indication, it is well-thought-out, approved by President Bola Tinubu, and will soon be implemented. Recognizing the impact that this policy change would bring, not a few are very happy with Tunji-Ojo.
